Small Business Month 2025 is a time to recognise the local businesses that make Logan a great place to live and work. From the family-run cafés in Springwood, to the mechanic in Shailer Park and tradies working across our suburbs, small businesses in Logan are creating local jobs and driving opportunities.

Supporting local business means more than just shopping local, it’s about making sure the conditions are right for businesses to grow and succeed. That includes better infrastructure, access to skilled workers through TAFE and apprenticeships, something that was overwhelmingly supported at the recent Federal election of the Albanese Government.

Logan is home to a diverse mix of industries. Our manufacturers are building everything from specialist equipment to garments. Our tradespeople are delivering essential services that keep homes and businesses running. And our local cafés and food businesses are bringing people together and showcasing the best of local produce.

Investment in skills, infrastructure and innovation is key to making sure these businesses can keep moving forward. It’s also about fairness, making sure that every small business, no matter its size or postcode, has the chance to compete and succeed.

This Small Business Month is a chance to recognise the work of local business owners and the important role they play in Logan’s economy and community.
