From Rochedale South in the north, to Shailer Park in the south, out to Mount Cotton - our community encapsulates so many great neighbourhoods, schools, local businesses, and green spaces. It's a place full of character and care.
Now the school holidays are in the rear view, and the roads get busy again, it's worth thinking about just how diverse our community is.
Especially now, because every 7 years, the Electoral Commission of Queensland undertakes an electoral redistribution. In the process, boundaries are redrawn to ensure each of the 93 state electorates has a similar number of electors.
Sometimes, redistribution results in the changes of electorate names. So I want to know, do you think Springwood should stay the same, or should the name change to something that reflects the entire electorate? As Term 3 gets underway, I wish all local students, teachers, school staff, and families a strong start to the new term.
