Investing in the health of all Queenslanders, where and when it is needed, is a priority of the government. 

Logan is one of the fastest growing regions in the State with more than 100,000 people expected to move into the area within the next 15 years. 

The Logan Hospital Expansion is one of the state's largest ever hospital expansions. The program of works includes:

• Adding additional levels to an existing building
• Refurbishing parts of the original hospital buildings
• Brand new clinical services building 
• 8 storey car park

**UPDATE**

Expansion Stage 1 is now complete! This expansion has enhanced the clinical services and improved facilities for patients, visitors and staff. 

The Stage 1 project includes:

• An additional 206 beds and treatment spaces
• A vertical expansion of Building 3 (emergency department building), delivering four new floors 
• Building-in of the ground floor of Building 3
• Refurbishment of clinical, clinical support and operational service support areas in the other existing hospital buildings
