Redlands Hospital is the major health centre for Redland City.

Stage 1 of the Redland Hospital Expansion is delivering a new 37-bed ward, a new 12-bed Intensive Care Unit and High Dependency Unit and a 25-bed inpatient ward. This means more healthcare services, close to home in Redlands.

The Redlands Hospital Stage 2 investment will deliver a new Mental health facility, which will almost double the bed capacity, with an additional 20 beds. This will bring the total number of beds in the unit to 43. 

These expansions build on Labor's record of:

• Upgrading the Emergency Department, easing pressure on our busy Emergency department
• Expanding the Maternity Ward, adding a water birthing suite
• Construction of a multi-storey carpark, increasing the number of carparks to 1,162
